For our readers who love classic summer activities – think sailing and ice cream – you’re in luck! With a population of 289, one wouldn’t think there’s a whole lot happening in Ephraim, Wisconsin. However, the small town actually boasts a handful of tourist attractions. In the small town of Ephraim, it seems as if time has been frozen in the 1920’s. Visit Wilson’s Restaurant and Ice Cream Parlor for some sweet treats, or take one of four daily cruises along a 26-foot boat departing from the South Shore Pier.

Should your travels lead you to the North Star State, consider stopping by the charming town of Lanesboro, Minnesota. Dubbed the bed-and-breakfast capital of Minnesota, Lanesboro features eateries that are just as charming as its B&Bs. From old-time pies at The Aroma Pie Shop to homemade root beer at Pedal Pushers Café, visitors certainly won’t go hungry. Work off the rich food with a bike ride on the 60-mile-long Root River Bike Trail.

There’s also a popular flea market downtown that is hosted on the first and third Saturday of every month.
