Falls Park on the Reedy
Start in downtown Greenville at this park. It lets you get away from it all, without being too far from the heart of town. True to its name, it boasts waterfalls, along with trails, gardens, and public art from local artists.
The Peace Center
The Peace Center is a multipurpose arts center that serves as a cultural hub within the city. It houses an amphitheater, theater, and concert hall that host everything from touring Broadway productions to intimate shows with singer-songwriters and poetry readings.
This awesome arts festival only happens once a year, but it’s well worth planning a visit around it. Held annually in May, the 2019 installment will take place from May 10-12, and allows visitors to meet and chat with artists they admire.
Greenville County Museum of Art
If you happen to miss Artisphere, don’t fret; the Greenville County Museum of Art will quench your thirst for culture. The focus here is on American art from painters like Andy Warhol, Helen Turner, and Andrew Wyeth.
Dark Corner Distillery
The south is known for its whiskey, and Greenville is home to its own distillery. It produces “The World’s Best Moonshine,” to boot! And yes, that’s the name of their moonshine, but the distillery has received accolades from industry heavyweights like the American Distilling Institute. Stop by for a tasting (or two).
