You already know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but it’s even more important when you’re trying to fuel up for a vacation day full of sightseeing and activities. We’ve rounded up the cream of the crop when it comes to the best spots to stay the night and start your morning off right.
The breakfast offerings here vary by location, but you can typically expect a selection of hot, hearty items like waffles, oatmeal, eggs, and sausage. Of course, that’s in addition to the staples: cereal, fruit, toast, and bagels.
Warm up with a bowl of oatmeal — complete with toppings like brown sugar and walnuts — or make your own waffle when you stay at any Hampton Inn. You’ll also find eggs and sausage as part of the continental breakfast here. During the week, you can grab and go with pre-made “On the Run” bags, which are filled with a cereal bar, a muffin and fruit.
Holiday Inn Express
This popular chain provides all guests with an “Express Start” breakfast, featuring a buffet of your standard eggs, biscuits, bacon, and sausage — the selection rotates daily. Satisfy your sweet tooth with pancakes and some signature cinnamon rolls.
It’s all about what you want, when you want it at Hyatt Place hotels; not only does their on-demand cafe service satisfy any late-night snack cravings, but the chain provides guests with a meal to start each day as well — known as the A.M. Kitchen Skillet. Head to the buffet and take your pick of fresh fruit, oatmeal, or hot, freshly-made egg sandwiches and cinnamon-glazed french toast.
While every suite includes a full kitchen, there’s no need to cook your own breakfast, as a complete one is included each morning. A hot buffet with breakfast burritos, eggs florentine, and sausage can be found, in addition to strawberry and chocolate-flavored waffles at select properties! If you stay at certain Residence Inns in the Lone Star state, you’re in for an extra-special treat: Texas-shaped waffles! Sure, they taste the same, but they’re so much more fun to eat (and look at).
