February: Florida Renaissance Festival
Love all things medieval? Game of Thrones fan? Well, you can really step back in time at the Florida Renaissance Festival. You’ll be able to see knights in action, jousts, demonstrations, and fabulous costumes all while enjoying traditional food and drink.
March: St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival
Who doesn’t love a St. Patrick’s Day? Well, Fort Lauderdale has one of the most popular events in the state. This free event has a parade, featuring bands and Irish step dancers, as well as live music events, and even a road race.
April: Fort Lauderdale Taco Battle and Craft Beer Fest
This is a relatively new event on the scene, but it quickly has become a favorite in the area. At the Taco Battle and Craft Beer Fest, visitors can sample brews and tacos from many local restaurants and craft breweries. Bring your appetite, you don’t want to miss this one!
April: Tortuga Music Fest
If you love all kinds of music, then you’ve got to hit the Tortuga Music Fest at least once in your life. This is a premier music event that features many of the biggest names in rock, rap, and country. This three-day event is the perfect long weekend beach getaway.
April: Pompano Beach Seafood Festival
Do you love seafood, music, and the beach? Have we got an event for you! The Pompano Beach Seafood Festival is a celebration of local seafood. You’ll be able to sample all sorts of tasty treats while enjoying lots of live music and crafts.
October: Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

Tens of thousands of people flock each year to Florida for boat shows. One of the best of the group is the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Visitors will be able to see over 1,500 different styles of boats plus experience some on the water training as well.
November- Mid-January: Chinese Lantern Festival
The Chinese Lantern Festival runs through late November to mid-January every year. It celebrates Chinese culture, music, and arts. This is a great event for families of all ages as kids can see lanterns, shadow play, and martial arts demonstrations.
