Florida is great to visit any time of the year but there is something extra special in the air when it comes to fall time. Maybe it’s better weather or pumpkin-flavored everything at the local Farmers Markets. But one thing is for certain, you should plan a trip to experience the magic for yourself. Here are some ideas to get you started.
Local and State Parks
It’s no secret that Florida is mostly scorching hot year-round, making it one of the best beach getaways whenever you need one. But while you can still plan to hit the beach between the months of September-November, you will also notice the weather has a bit of a breeze to it. So, it’s the perfect time to hit a hiking trail or two also. Here is a list of several hiking trails throughout Florida.
Farms and Markets
Do you love all things pumpkin spice or apple cider? How about all things homemade too? In addition to every kind of homegrown pumpkin and apple, and wonderfully made jam and pastry you could hope for, you can also find many carefully crafted trinkets, decorations, and more at the local farms and farmers markets. Don’t miss Bedner’s Farm Fresh Market in Boynton Beach and Yellow Green Farmers Market in Hollywood. They’re great all throughout the year but extra special during pumpkin season.
Another one you want to add to your list is Knausberry Farm in Miami. It opens up at the very end of the fall season. But it’s worth the wait. Because there, you will find the freshest cinnamon rolls you’ve ever tasted.
