UW-Madison Arboretum
Tiptoe through the tulips — and tons of other flowers — at this beautiful outdoor space. It has three garden collections and 20 miles of trails to explore. The Longnecker Horticultural Garden, Viburnum Garden, and Wisconsin Native Garden all have their own distinctive flair, and visitors can enjoy a free guided walk every Sunday at 1 p.m. that provides an educational overview.
Wisconsin Science Museum
Even if you’re not a science buff, you’re sure to have some fun at this Madison museum. There are exhibits that dig into the inner workings of light, lasers, robotics, and even the booming biotech industry. The museum is temporarily located in the Madison College downtown campus building.
