If you live in Florida, you likely already know about these gems. But if you don’t, you’re in for a real treat as well. So, jump on in.

Is hot sand stuck between your toes not really your thing? Try swimming in this cool, spring water pool in Coral Gables. It gets emptied and refilled with 800,000 gallons of freshwater daily. Plus, there’s waterfalls and cave-like grottos for swimmers to enjoy. Children under 3 are not permitted inside.
Knaus Berry Farm (Homestead)
While you’re nearby (and it’s in season), stop by the Knaus Berry Farm to pick your own strawberries and tomatoes to take home. You’ll also want to stick around for the freshest cinnamon rolls and milkshakes you’ve ever had. There’s typically a bit of a line- but you won’t be sorry you waited.

Daytona is known for its speed and racetracks. But, there’s another place you should zip on over to- The Daytona Flea and Farmers Market. It’s open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and receives over 2 million visitors every year. There you will find events and shows in addition to local vendors selling every kind of homemade good and treat.
Springs at Homosassa (Crystal River)
If you want more freshwater fun, this stop is a couple hours north of Tampa. You can explore trails, go fishing, kayaking and even swimming with the nearby manatees.
New Smyrna Beach
Okay, so a beach made the list after all. But, this isn’t like some of the other beaches in Florida.
New Smyrna is a laid-back little town with an overall cool vibe. If you’ve ever been the Florida Keys, it’s similar, with many locals hanging about, an array of seafood restaurants to choose from, and shops to browse through. But, it’s got its own thing going on also and you won’t want to miss it!
