Whether you’re new to theatre performances or you’ve enjoyed hundreds of thousands- you need to see a play at Longbeach Playhouse on Anaheim Street.
“All the world’s a stage…”
5021 E Anaheim St, Long Beach, CA 90804-3214
This wonderful and intimately little playhouse gives you the feeling of being right there in the show with the actors and actresses on stage. And that’s what the audience loves best- next to all of the undeniable, local talent.
Created in the late 1920’s, LBP has been putting on up to 16 plays a year for over 80 years!
There are two stages inside of the two-story building. The main stage, which seats 200 people, is where guests will enjoy dramas, comedies and musicals. And the second stage, which seats just under 100 people, is where all of the adult-oriented material, contemporary and experimental pieces are put on. There is no elevator inside of the building, meaning the second story is only accesible by stairs. The mainstage, however, has handicap seating available.
