Nothing says summer quite like an ooey, gooey s’more, which is probably why Nation S’more’s Day falls on August tenth. But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy these sweet treats at anytime of the year. Below are a few places you can go to satisfy your s’mores sweet tooth without lugging around camping gear or building a fire.
New York, NY
The Brooklyn bar Camp takes its name seriously. In addition to a fully stocked bar, it has board games, taxidermy, and a roaring fireplace. The flame for your DIY s’mores however is brought to your table with the graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows.
San Antonio, TX
Piatti is an Italian restaurant with a few locations scattered across the United States, but the building at The Quarry in San Antonio allows you to indulge your summer-camp fantasies with the ability to toast your marshmallows tableside before adding all of the other necessary ingredients.
Chicago, IL
If you want a slight variation on the classic s’more, look no further than the dessert menu at Frontier, a restaurant on Chicago’s west side famous for its creative uses for wild game. They also get creative by offering a Turtle S’more. It has maple marshmallow, homemade graham cracker, bourbon-infused chocolate, pecan brittle, and is topped with caramel.
Seattle, WA
Located in Ballard, WA, Hot Cakes Molten Chocolate Cakery has s’more options than just your average s’more. They have s’mores bars, s’mores cookies, and a gooey molten s’mores cake, all of which have been raved about by patrons. If that’s not enough, you can even get a s’mores shake–booze optional.
Charleston, SC
While a tiki bar might not be the first place you’d go when looking for s’mores, you’d be remiss to pass by Voodoo Tiki Bar in Charleston. They supply the chocolate, marshmallows, graham crackers–and the flame! You also have the option to add bacon and peanut butter to your order if you’re feeling creative.
Orlando, FL
The Rusty Spoon in Orlando offers another adult take on the traditional s’more. This booze-infused dessert features toasted marshmallow, a graham cracker-crust, and of course plenty of milk chocolate, the perfect end to your locally sourced meal.
Philadelphia, PA
Barclay Prime in Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square has given the campfire favorite its own spin. Their lauded s’mores cake is a chocolate cake filled with gooey melted chocolate and marshmallow with a perfectly toasted marshmallow topping. The graham cracker makes its appearance in the form of graham cracker ice cream–the perfect complement to the molten cake.
