The Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village are located in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn, Michigan. This indoor and outdoor museum complex spans 250 acres and is filled with artifacts and exhibits that celebrate American innovations of all kinds; Specifically the automobile. You could spend a whole entire day exploring all that this exciting attraction has to offer. But, here are the highlights you won’t want to miss.
The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation
You will find a collection of some of the most amazing moments in American history, all in one place. From the Wright Brothers’ first flight to the bus where Rosa Parks sat, recreations of these pivotal times in our country’s past will educate and inspire you. You can also get hands-on; Build a Model T, make an impression rubbing, or draw your vision of the future and share it with the world.
Special exhibits include Driving America, which dives into the place of the car in our culture, and With Liberty and Justice for All, which highlights the quest for freedom throughout history.
This interactive downtown comprises seven historic districts with everything from working farms, a bustling Main Street, front porches, and parlors. There’s even an area designated to the work of inventor Thomas Edison. Discover a laboratory, library, machine shop, boarding house, and more.
Of course, you’ll find plenty of dining options as well. You can grab a quick bite at the State Street Lunch Stand, Mrs. Fisher’s Southern Cooking, or the Owl Night Lunch Wagon, while more hearty fare can be found at Eagle Tavern. Sit down for a traditional tea at Cotswold Cottage, or satisfy your sweet tooth at Carousel Confections.

Hours and Admission
The complex is open seven days a week, from 9:30am to 5:00pm, year-round (excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas Day). You can purchase an all-access pass that lets you visit both the museum and Greenfield Village and the Ford Rouge Factory Tour for $75, or purchase tickets individually if you just want to visit one of the two.
