San Fransicso is perennially at the top of the list on not only the best foodie cities in California but in all of America. So, we can’t leave it off the list. For many true foodies, it’s not San Francisco that tops the list of dream spots, it’s LA. Los Angeles is a favorite choice because it truly offers diners something for everyone. Drop into any neighborhood in LA and you’ll be bombarded with at least a dozen top notch places.
San Diego has just about everything going for it. Year round virtually perfect weather, miles and miles of sandy beaches, and a thriving cultural scene. So, it shouldn’t come as a big surprise that it’s proximity to the ocean and heavy Latino influence combine to make this a foodie hotspot.
Oakland is the cooler little brother to the hustle and bustle of San Francisco. It’s home to a culturally diverse group of neighborhoods that embraces artists and creative types. This makes it the perfect atmosphere for an innovative food scene.
