When it comes to Los Angeles, most people don’t need much of an excuse to want to pack their bags and head to sunny Southern California.
After all, you’ve got a cool city, sandy beaches, beautiful weather, and Hollywood all at your doorstep in one place. That’s pretty hard to beat — and makes for a perfect vacation spot.
In this post, we’re going to share with you some of the ultimate Los Angeles travel destinations you need to hit during your stay.
Ready to see some of the best that LA has to offer?
Santa Monica Pier
If you want to head out from downtown LA and towards the ocean, your first stop should be the legendary Santa Monica Pier. It has been attracting visitors and locals alike to its vibrant and unique beach scene, boardwalk and shops for over a hundred years.
Have you been saving for a big shopping spree? You won’t find too many better spots than Beverly Hill’s Rodeo Drive. Home to many famous movie scenes, including Pretty Woman, super luxury cars, and even a few Real Housewives, the area is full of high-end boutique shops and fine dining.
The Hollywood Sign
The famous Hollywood Sign might be LA’s most recognizable feature. And even though you can see it from virtually anywhere in the downtown area, you can also hike on any one of a number of trails up to the sign for a completely different view. So, pack your sneakers and head outdoors!
TCL Chinese Theatre
Speaking of Hollywood, you’ve got to spend some time wandering Hollywood Boulevard. Yes, you’ll find a bunch of tourists there, but it’s totally worth it. Here, you’ll find the TCL Chinese Theatre also known as the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. You might spot a few stars since it’s a popular spot for big movie premiers and the Hollywood Walk of Fame is there too.
The Getty Center
The Getty Center is a favorite spot for people looking to get incredible views of LA and the surrounding mountains. It’s situated on the top of a hill and is home to both the Getty Museum and Getty Villa. The building is one of the most famous architectural projects in the world with its unique design and size.
